For Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, Stardust Effects served as a primary VFX vendor,lead by Kai Kiønig Bortne, delivering a range of invisible visual effects designed to integrate seamlessly with the film’s naturalistic photography.

Our work included snow and winter environments, set extensions, 3D elements and compositing, supporting the film’s environments while preserving the subtle, grounded visual language of the story.

Produced by Mer Film and Eye Eye Pictures, Sentimental Value premiered in competition at Cannes, where it won the Grand Prix, and went on to win the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
